yoff ’s second anniversary—Thank you.

Thanks to our readers, yoff has reached Issue 24, marking two years since launch. I enjoy the monthly process of planning, interviewing, shooting,
writing, and designing our small 20-page magazine, despite the difficulties.
A highlight was Issue 21 (“The Source of Aesthetic Sensibility”): Drag Queen Durian Lollobrigida was surprisingly logical, while multi-talented dancer Aoi Yamada offered a free-spirited, roller-coaster-like interview that ultimately came together.Issue 17, “Global Eateries,” was logistically difficult; my staff struggled with candidates (Kurds, Mongolians, etc.) becoming unreachable or not speaking Japanese.
Issue 6, “Gestures of Prayer” was conceptually interesting; I covered Islam, Orthodoxy, Shinto, and Buddhism. Though the topics were too vast for our two pages, I hope readers grasped the core concepts.
Issue 14, “Venture Farther and Beyond!” featured breathtaking scenery: the vast Sahara, the harmony of Tunisian streets, and Africa’s largest salt lake reflecting the sunset.I’ve also covered diverse topics like questioning Tokyo’s redevelopment, finding tourist hotspots, the joy of cinema, health, design, art, and aging/creativity. My goal is to keep seeking out features that make yoff an entrance to a new world when readers pick it up and turn the page. I ask for your continued support.
